The “Avtomobilist” stadium will be returned to Uzhgorod Children’s and Youth Sports School number 1

The municipal stadium "Avtomobilist" will be returned to Uzhgorod Children’s and Youth Sports School number 1. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor Vladislav Flenko today, February 14, at his press conference, informed KARPATNEWS.in.ua.

The city government back in May 24, 2012, by the decision of the city council, transferred the stadium, namely 0.5 hectares, to the football club "Uzhgorod", which plays in the championship of the region.

However, according to Mr. Flenko, the club has not fulfilled the conditions of the contract. Under the cotnract the club had to fix up the field, install normal benches and everything else. However, the club has not fulfilled these conditions. Moreover, according to V. Flenko, representatives of the team never even appeared in the city government to discuss the details. Therefore, the city hall terminated the contract.

As it became known from the member of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Uzhgorod Stepan Selmensky, the club was simply unable to fulfill these conditions, because under the contract, FC "Uzhgorod" had to pay 11,000 UAH for the lease of the stadium plus 3,000 UAH every month. That is why this situation arose.
