Will the Uzhgorod Vodokanal be given to investors tomorrow?

Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 6, at the next meeting of the Executive Committee they may decide the fate of Uzhgorod Vodokanal.

"Tomorrow, members of the executive committee will review the draft decision approving the text of the joint venture agreement between the "Vodokanal" and the private organization, the founder of which is a Cypriot offshore, and the appointment of the person responsible for signing the contract," – a member of the executive committee Alexander Volosyansky reported.

The text of the agreement was not approved by the session City Council on December 28.

Volosyansky wrote on his facebook page: "The text of the agreement was not approved by the session on 28.12.13, the director of Municipal Economy Department Kasperov refused to sign it, so did the director of the "Vodokanal" Omelyanenko, because they know that such agreement is questionable in terms of the law. Thus, the city government tries to cover up questionable in terms of law signing of the joint venture agreement with lack of legal responsibility for collective decisions (collective irresponsibility)."

However, the agenda of the tomorrow’s meeting does not contain the item of executing the contract, neither it is listed among draft decisions of the executive committee. Instead, as uzhgorod.in already informed, they will be discussing the schedule of water supply.
