In the Carpathians, the increased risk of avalanches has been announced

2 to 4 of February, in mountainous areas of the Transcarpathian region, a danger of avalanches from the mountains remains.

This has been reported by the Territorial Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies with reference to the Transcarpathian Center for Hydrometeorology.

Avalanches are possible due to the thaw and heavy precipitation in the form of snow, sleet and rain.

MOE ask all tourists – both novices and experienced travelers – to be careful and attentive during the winter holiday in the mountains.
