Unaffiliated MP Victor Baloha considers the demand of the Russian "Gazprom" to pay $ 7 billion fine for the gas, "underpurchased" by Ukraine last year, as the best promotion "for" the Customs Union, which he wrote on his page in social network Facebook, reported Ukrinform.
"The bill from "Gazprom" is the best promotion "for" the Customs Union. When a neighbor, knowing that you have, to put it mildly, problems with the budget, demands the money for something you never bought – it looks very "brotherly." This is not the European Union, where they save one who has problems and not finish them off" – the politican wrote.
As it became known on Saturday, OAO "Gazprom" demands from Ukraine to $ 7 billion for breach of commitments for the purchase of gas last year.
Instead, "Naftogaz of Ukraine" has declared their intent to sue to the international arbitration so as to not give money for the unused gas.
