In Beregovo a lawyer was beaten

January 16, in the evening, around 17.00 an unknown masked person beat a Beregovo lawyer.This was reported to the police by the victim’s mother – a private notary.
Beregovo Interdistrict Deputy Prosecutor and Acting Chief of Beregovo District Police along with the investigative team immediately went to the scene.It was established that the 32-year-old lawyer was returning home from work and got out of the car to open the gate, suddenly a person in a black mask came up to him, struck him several blows with wooden stick in different parts of the body, and then disappeared. The victim was taken to Beregovo district hospital where he was diagnosed with: brain concussion, closed head injury, multiple bruises on the forehead and broken bone of the left hand. The investigations department of Beregovo district police have already included the information about this crime in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations. Pre-trial investigation of the criminal offense under Part 4 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism committed with firearms or knives or other object specifically designed for causing bodily injury – punishable with imprisonment for a term of three to seven years) has been initiated. Prosecutor’s office of the region ensure the control over the criminal proceedings.
