In the main education institution of Transcarpathia there are rumors that recently elected rector of UzhNU Fedir Vashchuk is to be promoted and soon will receive the post in the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. And the university, in turn, allegedly will be headed by someone from the Donetsk region.
Realizing that the information may be common gossip, uzhgorod.in tried to check with their own sources. Thus, we learned that these rumors are really propagating among university employees, but currently there are no serious evidence. Today there was a meeting of the Academic Council of UzhNU, which, as usual, was conducted by Fedir Vashchuk. There were no reports of a possible change of job or at least some hints to that effect from the rector. We contacted Fedir Vashchuk about these rumors, "You are the 6th, who has called me on this issue. Yesterday, 5 journalists from Kyiv called, and now you – from Transcarpathia – responded Mr. Rector. – I do not have any information about my job in the ministry. You can write that indeed there are such rumors, but this is only a rumor. Will I agree, if this proposal does come? I do not know. First, I must receive and consider it."
