In Uzhgorod, the earnings from paid parking will be less than the cost of parkomats

The projected earnings from paid parking in the regional center for this year is 136,800 UAH. This amount is indicated in the Uzhgorod budget for 2013, which was approved on the eve of the New Year. The proceeds from the parking will go to the general fund of the city budget.
As you know, the parking machines were purchased last year for almost 269,000 UAH from the city’s budget.That is, this amount is greater than the income these parkomats will bring in a year.
As of January 2009, all paid parking lots on the streets of all cities of Ukraine must be equipped with special devices for payment.
Uzhgorod Mayor Victor Pogorelov last year repeatedly promised that parkomats "would be installed soon", however so far it is not so. As uzhgorod.in reported previously, at the year-end parking machines were in City Hall, and were not put into operation, because the Treasury did not made the payment to the supplier – a company from Lviv.
