Uzhgorod budget for the year 2013 lacks 14 million for education

In 2013 Uzhgorod will be living by a very tight budget – the main financial document of the city lacks 14 million for education, so they intend to "optimize" education system.

As uzhgorod.in previously reported, at an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee they approved the draft budget, which already on Friday will be put for the consideration of the council session.
"The budget is not the one that we would like to have. The calculation of expenditures for education puts us in a very tough situation. We have 1700 students from surrounding villages, daycare groups, etc. We will present these calculations to the heads of educational institutions so that they would optimize and reduce the amount of their expenditures. We lack about 14 million for education. The same situation was in this year, we asked for loans from the state, government grants and so on … " – said Mayor Victor Pogorelov.
