Ukrainians were promised that their organs would not be taken without the consent of relatives

The MOH claim that the bill on organ donation will be referred to the Parliament only after extensive public discussions, reported TSN. In particular, transplant surgeons offer to soften the wording in the text: everyone has the right to decide whether he or she will be a donor after death. The statement of refusing to become posthumous donor will be entered to the national registry. However, the opinion of relatives will also be taken into account.

The procedure for the refusal from organ donation, which can be made by a person upon reaching the age of 18 in written or electronic form, is also being developed.

Recall that the so-called law on transplantation, which gave the right to transplant organs after the death of a person in the absence of the statement for prohibition filed during the lifetime, caused considerable resonance in the society. However, doctors mostly refer approvingly to such innovations.
