A Hungarian tried to illegally import to the territory of Ukraine through the "green corridor" and without taxation food products of different variety, the cost and quantity of which exceeded the limits permitted by the law.
Returning from Hungary, a 51-year-old driver of the car "Mercedes Viano" at the checkpoint "Vylok" chose the simplified customs control lane.
During the inspection of the car customs officers found different range of products (shampoo, toothpaste, candy, tea, coffee, chocolate and other foods and supplements) with a total value of almost 171 thousand hryvnias.
As explained by the Hungarian citizen, he was transporting the aforesaid goods across the border at the request of his countryman and had to deliver them in the regional center of Transcarpathia. And from there he was to send them by express carrier to a resident of Kyiv
So, for the violation of the procedure for the simplified customs control and transportation of products that exceed their allowed limits and are restricted for the importation, a protocol against the Hungarian citizen has been written under Art. 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The illegal goods were seized until the court decision.
