The man, who had killed his father 12 years ago, this time killed his own mother

A 52-year-old Yuri Pozhar from the village of Torun in Mizhhirya district of Transcarpathia killed his 73-year-old mother, Hanna. The tragedy occurred when both were drunk.

"Yuri came to the village council and asked to call the police – tells the employee of the village council Mariya Petrivna. – He confessed that at night his mother had sent him to the village for vodka, but because he did not want to go, he began to verbally abuse and beat her. In the morning he realized that the woman was dead."

The police say that Yuri killed his mother with a wooden stick.   The murderer was arrested.

In the early 2000s, Yuri Pozhar killed his father.

"All members of the family have been abusing alcohol for many years – continues the employee of the village council. – In the early 2000s, Yuri came home drunk and in the heat of the moment killed his own father. His mother and sister then managed to run away from him. Yuri was put in jail.When he came back home he continued to drink. His mother also abused alcohol. So does his sister."

The man was married, but the wife with three children left him because of susceptibility to alcoholism. In recent years, Yuri Pozhar was unemployed.
