Less is more – the truthfulness of this saying was evidenced today at the opening of the wine festival in Uzhgorod. Only two weeks ago in the city there was a similar holiday.
Perhaps that is why there were not so many guests at today’s festival. Or maybe Uzhgorod residents just do not want to drink wine in the morning, even if it’s weekend and a holiday. However, the half-full cellars of the "Sovyne hnizdo" sharply contrasted against the previous year,
when they were overcrowded.
Whatever the reason, only a few dozen people were at the opening, half of them – members of the mayor’s office and journalists. Otherwise the festival is quite similar to last year’s: several wineries with their products, sales of cheese, honey and various fair fines, and also kebabs, baked potatoes and bohrach.
The festival will last two days, so you have time to visit it.
