Rector election in UzhNU has began

The conference of the staff of UzhNU, where election of the rector will be held, has just started.

According to the statute, 300 members of staff and students have been delegated to the conference. 297 have been registered. The First Vice Rector of UzhNU Vasyl Lemak was elected as the chairman.

The conference is attended by deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council and newly elected deputies of Verkhovna Rada from Transcarpathia. 

The candidates for the rector are Acting Rector, Professor Fedir Vashchuk and world-renowned neurosurgeon, head of neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry department of UzhNU professor Volodymyr Smolanka.
