Uzhgorod city prosecutors closed the dental office at school № 4

In September in Uzhgorod secondary school № 4 the dental office was opened. Then the parents were against it. 

Prosecution of Uzhgorod organized the check of the legality of placing dental office in the school building. 
It was found out that the building of the educational institution by the decision of the Transcarpathian Region Executive Committee had been taken under state protection as a monument of architecture and urban local importance, and according to the article 36 of the Law of Ukraine "On Education" educational institutions are not subject to conversion or inappropriate use.

However, despite this, the Department of Municipal Economy of Uzhgorod City Council in violation of Article 18 of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Cultural Heritage", without the consent of the Department of Culture of Transcarpathian Regional Administration and without permits from competent state bodies, started the procedure for renting the disputed premises.

Therefore, the prosecution of Uzhgorod have made the submission, under which the procedure for renting the premises of the school number 4 has been suspended – informed the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Transcarpathian region.
