Mukachevo started cooperation with the Croatian island

These days Mukachevo welcomed guests from the Croatian town of Pag, located on the island in the Adriatic Sea. 
At the meeting they discussed the expansion of cooperation in tourism. The chief of the town administration Ante Fabiyanich said that there are many similarities between Mukachevo and Pag, particularly in architecture, mentality and tourism potential. 
And the first deputy mayor of Mukachevo Ernest Nuser said that travel agencies will be able to develop the cooperation with hotels and complexes in Croatia while Croatian travel companies would enter the market of local services in winter and ski tourism. Also Mukachevo in cooperation with Croats can promote the development of public utilities, agriculture and participation in joint European Union programs. 
Mayor Zoltan Lendyel said that today there are joint grants with Poland to build the pool in children’s sport school, with Hungary – for the reconstruction of the castle "Palanok", but, according to the mayor, there must be dozens of such projects.  At the next meeting, when a delegation of Mukachevo visits Pag, they will sign agreement on cooperation in these areas.
