On the occasion of the election in the U.S., which will be held on next Tuesday, the Internet service Twitter has launched a map of users’ political activity.
The map shows which messages by presidential candidates on their official twitter accounts were the most and least popular in a particular state.
The color intensity reflects the frequency of retweets of the candidates’ posts. Also there is a search option, which allows to understand where people are interested in particular issues more than others.
According to Twitter calculations, the most popular tweet of the Democratic candidate Barack Obama was the following: "No family should put off a letter of acceptance to college because they have no money." The most quoted message of the Republican Mitt Romney was his speech on September 11.
It should be noted that on the eve of the election, the headquarters of Mitt Romney addressed to American Christians with a statement that Barack Obama is a "real threat" to freedom of their religion.
U.S. Presidential Election is scheduled for November 6. According to surveys, in some states, where election results can not be foreseen, the gap between the two main candidates is within statistical error.
