“Batkivshchyna” is leading in 14 regions, Party of Refions – in 12, “Svoboda” – in one

Party of Regions is the leader in 12 of Ukraine’s 27 regions of the nationwide multi-mandate constituency, "Batkivshchyna" – in 14 of 27.

This was informed by the chairman of the Central Election Commission Volodymyr Shapoval at today’s briefing at the CEC."Preliminary results indicate the traditional sympathies of voters" – Mr. Shapoval said.

According to him, the Party of Regions traditionally leads in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, Crimea, Sevastopol, in Odessa, Mykolayiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Transcarpathian and Kherson regions.

"The "Batkivshchyna" party won in the west of the country – in Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Volyn and Khmelnytsky regions, and in the center – Kyiv, Sumy, Cherkasy regions. "Batkivshchyna" is also leading in Rivne, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv and Poltava regions and in Kyiv" – the head of the CEC said.

According to the electronic data system "Elections", the "Svoboda" party by voting for party lists is winning in only one region – Lviv region. All other contestants – the CPU and "UDAR" – by the preliminary results occupy in the regions 2, 3 or 4 places.

Currently CEC processed 43.32% of protocols. The leader, as before, is the Party of Regions with the support of 35.30% of voters, followed by the "Batkivshchyna" party – 21.76%, and the CPU (14,98%). Then follow "UDAR" (12,89%) and "Svoboda" (8.20%).
