Uzhgorod Linguistic High School will be with gas heating, because parents of students opposed the infrared radiation

Today, October 25, during a briefing Mayor Victor Pogorelov said that the installation of heating system in T. Shevchenko linguistic high school is almost completed. So when students return from vacation, they will sit at desks already in warm classrooms. Currently, 70% of the school radiators have been replaced, working crews work every day. When asked why city officials decided to equip the school with gas heaters instead of the planned electric, Victor Pogorelov said that parents of schoolchildren were against electricity, believing that infrared radiation could harm their children. Parents, they say, even incited their children to boycott classes, so it was decided to restore the old gas heating system, but with replaced radiators.

In addition, the Mayor of Uzhgorod told that all autonomous modular boilers, that provide heating for government institutions, are ready for use. Despite the fact that not all of them have yet been commissioned. The delay in this matter arose because of the State Treasury, who will not give the money. Because of this, they say, contractors refuse to proceed with the documentary procedures of boiler commissioning.
