Deputy to the chief medical officer of Uzhgorod City Perinatal Center will be tried for a bribe

Oct. 18 the case against the deputy chief medical officer of Uzhgorod City Perinatal Center over the receiving of bribes in the amount of $ 1,000 was sent to Uzhgorod City Court (Part 2 of Art. 368 of CC of Ukraine – punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years).

July 10, the police detained the physician when she was receiving a bribe in the amount of one thousand US dollars. The arrest was preceded by the appeal of a female resident of Uzhgorod. The woman complained that the deputy chief officer of Uzhgorod City Perinatal Center L. demanded from her a 3000 dollars bribe for facilitating the adoption of a child. Thus, in one of Uzhgorod cafe, the police arrested the doctor while receiving $ 1,000 bribe – informed the press-service of the Prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region.
