The Ministry of Internal Affairs assured that prices for license plates would not go up

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine claim that the cost of license plates for vehicles was set out in 2009 and is not going to increase soon.

This was reported in the Office of Public Relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with reference to information of the Logistics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"According to the results of tender procedures over the last five years MIA have been purchasing the license plates from "Fort" research and development company at prices that have not changed since at least 2009. MIA of Ukraine and "Fort" research and development company signed an agreement dd. 28.09.2012 № 332 for the provision of traffic police departments with license plates until the end of this year. Under this agreement the cost of license plates for one car is 135 UAH per set (two units), and not per unit, as was erroneously reported in publications" – reads the statement.
