The government announced another improvement of the fiscal system, this time – a radical one, promising to reduce the amount of taxes in two and a half times.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the Monday session on Oct. 15 approved a bill on optimization of the tax law, which provides, inter alia, for the reducing of the number of taxes from 23 to nine.
This was posted by the head of the State Service for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship Development Mykhaylo Brodsky on his page in Facebook.
"Today (October 15 – Ed.) the Cabinet decided to leave just nine taxes instead of 23. This will reduce administration and reporting" – Brodsky wrote.
Earlier, the Minister of Social Policy Serhiy Tihipko stated that the bill that includes, besides the number of taxes, the reduction of tax reporting forms from 115 to 22, as well as tax payments – from 184 per year to 48 had been prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Justice.
In addition, the bill provides for the simplified forms of tax invoices, application of electronic tax declaration and payment procedures and the abolition of the tax bill.
The united opposition have made similar statements – they promised to abolish the tax code and leave only 7 taxes.
