Before the election, the government boasted about how they care about us

On Tuesday, October 9, during the briefing, the head of the Labor and Social Security Directorate of the Regional State Administration Victor Matsola noted the trend to higher average wages, social benefits, subsidies, compensations over the last 2 years.
The growth rate of the average wage in the region is higher than average in Ukraine – 112.9%. Specifically, in 2012, the average wages of workers employed in industries increased. It increased from 2075 UAH in January 2012, to 2411 UAH in August (16.2%). Also about 16 thousand new jobs have been created in our region. Most of all – in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo and in Irshava and Tyachiv districts.
Financing of various social expenditures over the past 2 years has increased several times. This applies in particular to benefits at childbirth. As of December 1, Transcarpathian families will be receiving 28,830 UAH for the birth of the first child, 57 660 UAH – for the second child, 115,320 UAH – for the third and each subsequent child. 
  
Also the support for child care (up to age of three) for low-income families has increased from 75% (584 UAH) to 100% of cost of living (in October – 1118.0 UAH)
In general, social assistance payments are made by subventions from the state budget. In 2010, 846.5 million were allocated for these purposes. And this year 1178.6 million is provided.
As for the social protection of disabled citizens, in 2012, 31 cars for disabled of various categories have already been provided. In October this year it is planned to provide 8 cars at the expense of the state budget. Last year, people with disabilities received 19 cars.
Socially-disadvantaged Transcarpathians are also provided with housing. In particular, Rakhiv city council and Vodytsya village council in Rakhiv district have purchased two apartments for disabled veterans, soldiers-internationalists.   Mukachevo City Council issued a warrant for the apartment for a family with a disabled child. Uzhgorod district administration also bought a one-bedroom apartment, which in October will be delivered to a group II disabled citizen. According the Uzhgorod City Council, they plan to purchase two one-bedroom apartments for families before the end of October.
