On Thursday, September 13, the International Scientific Conference "Prospects of development of tourism in the Transcarpathian region and the Carpathian area" started. The RSA chairman Oleksandr Ledyda, his deputy Volodymyr Prykhodko participated in the conference.
Top Transcarpathian, Hungarian and Slovak experts on tourism gathered in the big hall of the Administration building. Opening the international forum, Oleksandr Ledyda said:
– Undoubtedly, tourism today is an important economic sector. Development of tourism in Transcarpathia will create jobs, attract investments to the region. For this we need to work together, especially with neighboring countries to implement joint large-scale projects, exchange of experience in tourism. So I wish all the participants of the conference fruitful cooperation.
The participants, in particular, discussed such issues as the need for a common international tourist routes of Transcarpathia and Hungary, Transcarpathia and Slovakia, prospects of wine tourism in the region and a number of other important topics.
