Criminal case against the director of “HCS number 4” for a bribe of 10 thousand dollars was taken to court

Prosecutor’s office in Transcarpathian region has taken to court the criminal case against the director of Uzhgorod "Housing and Communal Service number 4", who demanded and received 10,000 US dollars from a businessman in order to solicit for permit which is granted by Uzhgorod City Council municipal service to reconstruct a room (basement) in one of Uzhgorod houses (Rafanda).
        As per information of the acting chief of corruption combating department at prosecutor’s office Yuriy Kavka, on April 5, 2012 received an appeal from the entrepreneur stating the extortion of the bribe. 
   It was established that on April 5, at the end of the working day, the HCS director demanded and received the previously agreed amount of the bribe – 24,000 UAH from the businessman.
On April 9, he received the second part of a bribe – 7,000 USD – directly in Uzhgorod City Council.
        He was directly caught in the act.    The briber gave a written undertaking not to leave the country as a preventive measure, – informs the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office in Transcarpathian region.
