Yesterday, August 19, Astey villagers and guests relished salty and sweet pretzels in large quantities. Festival of Hungarian pretzel "Perez" (pretzel in Hungarian) was held in Beregovo.
Yummies were prepared by the hostesses in advance. Besides some of them were directly baked at the festival in "broke-back" furnace ("bubosh kementse"), located on the football field in the center of the village.
Guests were treated well with kiflyky, tarts and various goodies. Adults chose their salted pretzels with beer, kids enjoyed sweet ones.
The next festival will take place in Beregovo in a week in Gecha village . But this time it will be dedicated for lekvar.
