Traditional rafting will take place along the river of Uzh on floating device of different designs ‘Uzhgorod Regatta 2012’

Traditional rafting along the river of Uzh on floating device of different designs ‘Uzhgorod Regatta 2012’ will take place on August 12, 2012 in Uzhgorod.

Registration is at 4 p.m. – 4.45 p.m.

Start is at 5 p.m.

The number of crew members is unlimited, but ‘vessel’ should come with a full crew at the finish line.

The contribution of the ‘ship’ is 50 hryvnia. A prize fund will be formed with contributions.

According to the results of Regatta the winners will be awarded in the following categories:

‘Flying Dutchman’ (the fastest boat)

‘Jolly Roger’ (the most original vessel)

This year, ‘Uzhgorod Regatta’ is not limited with race. There will be held throwing ‘frogs’ competition, body art contest and other competitions and contests, an exhibition of ships models from the Palace of children’s creativity ‘PADIYUN’, etc.

Note:

  Organizers have a right refuse anyone to participate in the regatta without explanation.

 In the case of unsatisfactory weather conditions or the state of the River Regatta may be postponed to a later date, which will be announced.

The route rafting is made by organizers and each floating device should focus on the Uzhgorod lighthouse.

Winners will receive prizes, and a separate prize for victory will become the sweet gift ‘Uzhgorod Lighthouse’ (made by Valentyn Shtefano, sculptor Mykhailo Kolodko).

Reference: The first regatta took place in Uzhgorod on July 11, 2010. According to the rating of tourist season of 2010, ‘Uzhgorod regatta’ won in the category of ‘The Best Tourist Racing 2010’.
