On August 1, the list of countries where Ukrainians can travel without visas for up to 30 days, has been expanded by Turkey, and the list of visa-free countries has increased to 37.
The agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Turkey, enabling citizens of the countries to stay in the territory of another state without obtaining a visa for 30 days from the date of entry, was brought into force on August 1. The total period of stay shall not exceed 90 days within 180 days from the date of the first entry.
The Ukrainian government approved the agreement on visa-free regime with Turkey in April 2012.
In March, Turkey completed the internal procedures necessary for the agreement to come into force.
