National Bank of Ukraine bans to purchase property in cash

Ukrainian Parliament passed the changes of the National Bank relating to the development of cashless payment system.

One of the innovations is restriction of the right to make large purchases in cash. Payment for expensive goods, from household appliances to the real estate – should be carried out ​​only by means of cards, in cashless way. Monitoring compliance with the rules is relied on the tax office.

The official motivation of innovation is bringing the economy from ‘shadow’. The refusal of goods and services provider from cashless payment will cost him 8,500 hryvnia of penalty.
