Ukrainian militia may become the police soon.
The draft law of Party of Regions member Vasyl Hrytsak who suggests rename the militia on the police have already been registered. In the case of its adoption the Law ‘On the militia’ will be canceled.
The author believes that the Ministry of Internal Affairs after the law adoption will become the civil office, which includes police department.
The same document introduces the concept of contract, with a clear definition of responsibilities and rights of police officer, his social guarantees and salary increase – for sergeants to 5510 hryvnia and for officers up to 7728 hryvnia.
The Russian experiment, writes ‘Gorodok Vstrech’ proved that a play on words does not change the essence of cases, but the new form, documentation and signs for police officers significantly enrich someone’s pocket.
