Results of ‘Europe at School’ project will be presented in Uzhgorod

The meeting-presentation of the results of the project ‘Europe at School’, that is organized by the European Policy Center (Bratislava, EP) in partnership with the Transcarpathian Postgraduate Education Institute (TPEI) will be held in the conference hall of ‘Olimp’ hotel (Uzhgorod, Hlentsa Street, 4) at 10 a.m. on June 19, 2012.

‘Europe at School’ is the Official Development Assistance of the Slovak Republic project, the ‘Slovakaid’ program of the Slovak International Cooperation Agents Development, financed at the expense of the latter.

The aim of the project is the implementation of topics related to the European policy, European Integration and civil society’s development processes in the educational process of educational institutions of Ukraine. For this purpose 20 scientific and educational workers of Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathia and Odessa regions gained trainer skills, defined the main topics and made the appropriate methods in the course of five seminars. The project anticipates a network teaching staff formation – the multiplier of European opinion among colleagues; the trainer’s handbook preparation that will contain general information about the integration processes, European values, political and economical aspects of the integration processes in Europe, Europe at school, and also exercises and methods of mentioned topics teaching.

Kamil Sladek, the head of the European Policy Center, project manager, Zuzana Mrvova, PhD in cultural studies (Faculty of Philosophy of Komensk University), trainer, Alexandra Stara, project assistant, Mykhailo Talapkanych, TREI Director, Yurii Gertsog, deputy director on international relations, national schools, TREI’s educational work, Oksana Ivats project coordinator from the Ukrainian side, scientific and educational workers from Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathian and Odessa regions, who took part in the project will participate in the meeting.

Invited: the representatives of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration representatives, local/ district offices/ educational departments and public organizations and charitable foundations.

Information: Center for European Policy (CEP) is a non-profit organization established in 1997 (Bratislava, EP). The main purpose is the information provision about the European values, political and economical aspects of the European integration. The major types of activities are organization and holding of presentations, forums, conferences, trainings, publishing and communication with the public via the media.

Training seminars were held in Uzhgorod, Shtryb, Odessa, Bratislava and Kosice under the project during 2011-2012.
