At the Regional Council Session the budget wasn’t discussed because they had not shared it

At the end of the plenary session of the regional council today, June 8, its chairman, Ivan Baloga responded to reporters’ questions. In particular, answering why the deputies did not take a decision on changes to the budget, which provided funding for capital investments, Ivan Baloga said:

– During the session, I said that it was the most contentious issue, as well as during the committees meetings. Today, we need 200-300 million gryvnya to do what has to be done in Transcarpathia, instead, we have a little more than 20 million, thus, it is impossible to satisfy everyone and everything. Not all MPs have seen their requests and the requests of their voters to be satisfied during the distribution. It is known that half of the deputies are deputies-majoritarians, and everyone wants to do something for their village, street and school. We now have the opportunity to have more debates on this important issue and find a more coordinated approach until the next plenary session.
