Shipment of smuggled cigarettes were detained by Mukachevo border guards

The smuggler, who tried to illegally transfer cigarettes in the portable thermal imager to the neighboring Romania, was revealed by the ‘Solotvyno’ Department border guards this night. The trespasser attempted to escape when noticed the law enforcement officers, but failed. The young man, who was carrying four boxes of cigarettes wrapped in the polyethylene bags, was detained in 10 meters from the state border.

The offender and revealed cigarettes were delivered to the subdivision in order to draw up documents on the administrative violation. The court will give the actions assessment of the citizen who tried to illegally smuggle cigarettes. And what concerns the removed cigarettes, than they will be transferred in the prescribed manner to the Chop customs representatives, – informs the Mukachevo border guard squad press service.
