The police officers informed the Transcarpathian rescuers about the detection of two suspicious objects that look like potentially explosive, by Uzhgorod citizen on May 25 at 4.05 p.m. As it turned out, the16-year old boy of Roma nationality brought it home on Uzhotska Street. He found them when collecting the scrap metal near the village of Domanyntsi.
When another Roma nationality individual saw such a dangerous discovery, he immediately called the police. And he made right thing, because the Second World War explosive remnants are unpredictable and can explode at any minute. The group of pyrotechnic works Emergency and Rescue Division of Special Function and police officers arrived at the scene in a few minutes. The adjacent courtyard facilities inhabitants were evacuated and the place of finding was surrounded.
Pyrotechnics seized data of the explosive remnants, which turned out to be the artillery pieces of shells of 52 mm caliber, were taken to a special testing ground for neutralization. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency in the Transcarpathian region.
