All-Ukrainian festival of modern and folk song ‘Veselka nad Tysoyu’ (‘Rainbow over Tysa’) will be held on May 10-13 in Tyachiv. This was reported by the festival’s director Ivan Pylypets, informs Uzhgorod Press Club.
This year organizers decided not to invite recognized stars. ‘We decided that the participants themselves should become the stars’, – said Ivan Pylypets.
It is expected that nearly 70 young singers from all over Ukraine will arrive in Transcarpathia. They will improve their skills in three age groups: 9-11 years, 12-15 and 16-22.
The jury, which will be headed by the famous Ukrainian composer, rector of the Institute named after R.M. Glier Alexandr Zlotnyk will include the cultural leaders from Ukraine, Poland and Georgia.
The festive gala concert of the festival winners with the participation of star guests on the last day of the festival on Sunday, May 13 at the Independence Square (the beginning is at 7 p.m.).
