The terrorist attack in Dnipropetrovsk might have been related to the redistribution of influence spheres among criminal groups. The investigation of a series of explosions has advanced considerably.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the terrorist attack in Dnepropetrovsk.
According to unofficial data, the security forces tend to believe a "criminal" version – maybe the bombs were used for redistribution of influence spheres.
"There is a war in the city between the local business groups, which are still associated with criminal, – explained the source in Dnepropetrovsk management of the Security Service of Ukraine.
"Two weeks ago, also as a result of the explosion, there was killed an influential businessman Gennady Axelrod, who was followed by a trail of accusations of raiding. There are all the reason to believe that these attacks have nothing to do with politics," – he said.
Officially, the law enforcement and the secret services comment on the investigation with restraint. Nevertheless, the deputy chairman of the SSU Vladimir Rokitsky expressed confidence that there is no politics in what happened there.
"I doubt that any political force can take part in such actions, because there is God in the world who does not forgive such things" – he said.
As the President Viktor Yanukovych said during his visit to Dnipropetrovsk, the number of versions is much smaller now.
"That is, the range has decreased, and today there are areas where the investigation has progressed considerably" – he said.
The President announced a reward for information about the involved in the terrorist attack – two million hryvnia (220,000 dollars).
