On Tuesday, April 17, at 7 p.m. the meeting of the Transcarpathian Appeal Court will be held, on which a decision has to be taken as to whether to return to the investigation of the bankruptcy case of one of the biggest Transcarpathian credit unions ‘Central-Start’ and give it to the prosecutor’s office or back to the District Court with a new judge.
According to the depositors who became victims, the regional Prosecutor’s office and MIA have been blocking the investigation of stealing funds in Transcarpathian region by a credit union ‘Tsentral-Start’ for almost 3 years.
More than 80% of depositors are pensioners, disabled and socially unprotected, teachers, doctors, intellectuals who invested all the savings in this union and now don’t have money for treatment and decent existence.
The law enforcement region bodies have received over 500 statements from depositors victims during the period of 2009 – 2011.
Meanwhile, with the fakir’s virtuosity, prosecution office and the investigation ‘take from the sleeve’ different and every time new arguments of why the case cannot be investigated, not even mentioning its acceleration, and what the depositors should do.
The information was provided to the mass media by the Supervisory Board of the credit union.
We invite mass media to the coverage of the situation. The court session will be held in Uzhgorod, Dovzhenka Street, 7, the Transcarpathian Court of Appeals. The start is at 9 a.m.
