VS Energy Group, which had acquired a controlling interest in the regional utility company "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" at the privatization tender in February 2012, has sold it, reported the president of "VS Energy International Ukraine" LLC (Kyiv) Mykhailo Spector.
"Zakarpattyaoblenergo" is owned by another shareholders. State Property Fund allowed to do it (to sell – Ed.)" – he told reporters on the sidelines of events organized by the Pinchuk Foundation at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
At the same time, M.Spektor did not specify who the new shareholders of the electricity company are.
As reported, the competition for the sale of 50% interest in "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" was won by the "Enerhetychna Ukraina TV" LLC (Kyiv) – the subsidiary of "Zhytomyroblenergo" company controlled by VS Energy – which offered 140.7 million hryvnias for the interest. In addition, VS Energy International N.V. (Netherlands) was holding about 10 more shares of "Zakarpattyaoblenergo."
In the state register, the most recent data about the owners of "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" are dated October 2012, and according to them, 50% interest belongs to "Enerhetychna Ukraina TV". The owner of another 25% stake in the company is NAC "Energy Company of Ukraine."
"Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC operates electricity mains located in the region. It provides energy transportation and supply services.
