Bograch-index for September 2024: Food Prices Drop by 0.6%
Experts from the Carpathian Polling Research Center continue to assess the purchasing power of Zakarpattia residents using the “Bograch-index.” According to the center’s analysis, food prices slightly decreased in September compared to August.
In August 2024, a family of five needed 592 UAH to make bograch. However, in September, the price dropped by 4 UAH, with the “Bograch-index” showing the total cost at 588 UAH, representing a 0.6% decrease in prices.
P.S. The “Bograch-index” is an indicator that reflects monthly economic changes based on the cost of a popular Zakarpattia dish—bograch. The index provides a clear view of purchasing power, as bograch contains a variety of ingredients (meat, vegetables, spices, etc.), making it a universal measure of the economic situation.
