“Zakarpathaz” demands the owners of the components of the Unified gas transportation system of Ukraine to settle contractual relationships

Owners of the components of the Unified gas transportation system of Ukraine must ensure their trouble-free operation.

However, safety seems to be the least concern of the enterprises and organizations, that in one way or another have managed to become owners of several dozen or hundred meters of gas transport pipes. Even despite the fact that they cannot ensure proper operation of those gas supply facilities themselves. Meanwhile, there is a way out of this situation: under the current legislation, businesses and organizations, that cannot cope with these tasks, should transfer the components of the gas transport system to gas distribution or gas transportation companies or enter into a contract with them on operation of these components.  

In particular, the management of the "Yazaki Ukraine" LLC stubbornly ignores these requirements, – the first deputy chairman, the chief engineer of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC Andriy Horvat comments. – And today, despite the fact that we have been trying to reach understanding for more than a year, providing draft contracts to be signed, we have received no response from the company. Meanwhile, the medium pressure gas pipeline and facilities on Turyanytsia street in the village of Mynai, owned by the "Yazaki Ukraine", require proper maintenance. And those works – respectively – require prompt settlement of contractual relations between the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC and the "Yazaki" LLC.

The "Zakarpathaz" PJSC also requires the active participation of the "Yazaki Ukraine" LLC in the restoration of the of the gas pipeline protected areas through submission of appropriate appeals to competent authorities and local self-government bodies about violations of the enterprise’s rights and threat to the safety of gas network operation in connection with illegal construction in the protected area of the pipeline. For its part, the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC has sent appeals and copies of documents to the prosecution office and other supervisory authorities for checking the legality of the construction in the protected area of the pipeline.
