Today, on June 22, the public defense of graduation projects by graduates of Transcarpathian Art Institute and the College of Arts named after Adalbert Erdelyi started in the "Ilko Gallery".
It features the works of 70 institute and 40 college graduates. The Chairman of the committee, which will assess the graduation projects, is the vice-president of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine Mykola Yakovlyev.
At the invitation of the rector Ivan Nebesnyk, the opening ceremony was attendted by the head of the Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal and the Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko.
Transcarpathian Art Institute was created 12 years ago. It trains specialists in "fine and decorative arts" (paintings, artistic ceramics, art processing of metal, art processing of wood) and "design" (graphic design, interior design, environment design).
Thus, one of this year’s graduates of the Institute Valentina Artyukhina presented an oil painting titled "There will be son, and there will be mother…". According to the girl, the words of Shevchenko are still relevant today, and the theme of motherhood will be popular in all ages and inspire artists in the future.
Today, ar the public defense of graduation projects, in addition to paintings, the exhibition features wooden pieces, art-books, posters, models, works on interior and environment design.
The public defense will last for two days – 23 and 24 of June. The admission is free.
