The marathon continues. The closer is October 25, the more active are candidates. Many of them are unknown to most city residents.
And, as the OPORA informs, there are two new self-nominated candidates for the mayor of the regional center.
The Civic Network reported that today, September 28, two candidates for the mayor of Uzhgorod were registered. They are Mykhail Churilo and Oleg Podebriy – the OPORA observer at the TEC meeting reported.
Mykhailo Churilo, who has become somewhat more active in the public space over the last year, is a businessman and a member of the city council as a representative of the Party of Regions.
And Oleg Podebriy was the press secretary of the odious chief of the police in Transcarpathian region Serhiy Sharanych, who was dismissed after the Mukachevo events, and is also known for ties to Serhiy Ratushniak. There is every reason to believe that he is a purely technical candidate.
