Last night, a resident of Ternopil region tried to bribe border guards at the checkpoint "Tisa". Going to Hungary, he tried to speed up border crossing with a bribe. To this end, the man put in a 500 hryvnia note in the passport of his underage son, and gave the document to law enforcement officers for control. The border guards refused to take the bribe and reported the incident to the management.
In order to establish the circumstances and make a legal decision on possible signs of a crime envisaged in Article 369, Part 1 of the CCU, "Offer, promise or giving of unlawful benefit to an official", the border guards reported this incident to the Uzhgorod police department. After drawing up the relevant procedural documents, the father and his son crossed the border in the prescribed manner.
The management of the Chop border guard detachment once again appeals to all road users not to violate the laws of Ukraine and not to attempt to get officers of the State Border Guard Service involved in illegal activities by offering bribes for making illegal decisions Also, we ask you to plan a trip in advance and inform that the information on queues at the checkpoints can be found on the official website of the State Border Guard Service: https://dpsu.gov.ua/ua/border/ or on the Facebook page: "Western Regional Office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine-Western Border".
