TV channel "Inter", as part of the I Youth contest of film and television projects "Inter-Film Fest" noted the creative team from Vynogradov and their short film "Word to the Wind." The purpose of the film is to draw attention to social problems such as people with disabilities, people in wheelchairs. The work made it to the top 25 works and has a chance to become the winner in the categories "Grand Prix in the "Kinoblok" category and "Grand Prix of people’s choice."
So, Transcarpathian film "Words to the Wind." The main character and the author of the idea is a 28-year-old Andriy Hepenko. This short film is about him. In 2004, the turning point in his life happened – he became disabled. He injured his spine in an accident – and that’s it. The guy at the time had just turned 18. There was everything. Long depression. No desire to live. Negative. Disappointment. But the interest to life was sparked by the hobby – programming and working with computers. He himself mastered the challenging job of editing and now holds in Vynogradiv a leading position in this field. He moved from parents house in the village of Korolevo in Vynogradiv district, rents two bedroom apartment, pays for it and has an active creative life that even healthy and strong people may envy of.
They all are now friends. They met on the internet back in 2009. They are writer and director Mykhailo Lemak, videographer Mykhailo Talabira and other colleagues in the creative work.
The title of the short film – "Words to the Wind" – is very apt. Unfortunately, it’s often the case in our stormy life. The title was suggested by Mykhailo Lemak.
The main heroine of the film – an 18-year-old Victoria Likhtey – was chosen almost by accident. She is now a student of Vynogradiv High Vocational School 34, and when she was graduating from the Hungarian city school number 3, at the prom, her emotions and sincerity were noticed by film-makers. So, they turned to her with a proposal to star in the film.
The winners of the contest and youth film and television projects "Inter-Film-fest" will be named in June. All works are posted on the website of "Inter" TV channel and each user can view, evaluate and leave a comment. The results of viewers online voting will be considered in a separate category. See the movie! Because the ending of the Transcarpathian short is surprisingly devastating. But, it’s realistic. The problem for people with disabilities still exists. Let’s not throw words to the wind!
