Winners of youth projects have been determined in Uzhgorod

The results of the youth projects pitching, which is being conducted in Ukraine by the British Council together with partners and state authorities, local self-government bodies and Uzhgorod city council, were determined today in the Transcarpathian regional center. 
The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv congratulated the participants whose projects were selected to the final of the competition, which is 31 projects, thanked them for the activity aimed at improving our city, congratulated on St. Nicholas Day and New Year and Christmas holidays.
The participants then presented their projects in front of the competition committee. After two days of training, the participants of the pitching finalized their ideas and made presentations for the jury. For the most part, those were related to the environment, leisure of Uzhgorod residents and city guests, informal education, bicycle infrastructure and more.
Following the final evaluation, the jury identified 7 best projects with a total cost of 225,000 UAH: inclusive coworking "Golden hearts of Transcarpathia" – 22,800 UAH, street piano festival – 38,850 UAH, More for ma (training for young mothers) – 39,600 UAH, mural (on the wall of the dormitory №4 of UzhNU) – 45,830 UAH, UzhGreenFest (excursions aimed at teaching children ecological culture) – 49,950 UAH, Workshop of good mood (master classes for gingerbread making) – 13,985 UAH, "Stories of Uncle Uzh" (3D drawing on the Nezalezhnist embankment) – 13,985 UAH
Mayor Bohdan Andriyev congratulated the winners and presented certificates.
The projects must be completed by March 31, 2020.
