Will there be a series of mini-hydropower plants on the Latorytsya?

The issue of building a series of mini-hydropower plants (4 HPPs) on the Latorytsya river in Mukachevo with a capacity of 4 MW was the topic of the meeting of the working group, chaired by the First Deputy Mayor Ernest Nuser, held recently at Mukachevo City Council.

The project will allow to completely provide Mukachevo with electricity for lighting, heating and household needs. Also, mini-hydropower plants can solve urgent in Transcarpathia problems of flooding and lack of water, river flow regulation, the Tisa River Basin Water Resources Management states.

However, as said by the First Deputy Mayor of Mukachevo Ernest Nuser in a telephone comment, the construction of a series of mini-HPPs in Mukachevo is still at the stage of idea, that is there is no official decision yet.
