Who needs Transcarpathian children

Transcarpathian children are most often adopted by citizens of Italy and the USA. This year, foreigners have adopted 11 Transcarpathian kids.

This was announced today, September 30, during the press conference by the Head of the Transcarpathian Service for Children Svitlana Yakimelina, the Zaholovok reported.

She said that Transcarpathian children are most often adopted by Italians, followed by the United States. Also citizens of Spain, Britain and Israel are often willing to adopt Transcarpathian children.

"For foreign couples the nationality of the child does not matter. Foreigners often adopt Roma children. Of course, like Ukrainians, they pay attention primarily to the health of a child. However, this year there have been cases of adoption of children with disabilities" – Svitlana Yakimelina said.

She said that since the beginning of 2013, foreigners have adopted 11 Transcarpathian children, citizens of Ukraine – 35.
