Who demands “self-government” for Transcarpathia?

According to the publication Mukachevo.net, the "separatist" draft appeal to the Transcarpathian Regional Council was submitted by Oleksandr Ledyda but deputies argue that they adopted another darft, having made corrections at the last moment.

Recall that

yesterday at the meeting of the Regional Council, the deputies adopted an appeal to the President, the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet, which caused mixed reactions of not only Transcarpathian, but also Kyiv journalists, officials and even international institutions.

It is a request to amend the Constitution to provide extensive administrative and financial powers to local authorities, that is Transcarpathian region. The appeal was approved by 49 of 64 deputies.

It is important to stress that this appeal was adopted in a package with 3 other economic appeals concerning in particular the re-opening of the customs point "Tyachiv", which was closed by the SFS, as well as issues of land relations. 

The initial draft appeal for amendments to the Constitution on the status of Transcarpathia was introduced at the meeting of the Presidium of the Regional Council by the leader Opposition bloc of the Oleksandr Ledyda, the fromer governor of the region. 

  

However, today the press service of the Regional Council extended the official draft of the appeal of Transcarpathian deputies to the government.

. As they say, it is this appeal that the deputies voted for April 5.
