Which articles of the Constitution bother Uzhgorod citizens the most?

The language, the presumption of innocence and the rights of free expression are the Constitution of Ukraine articles that worry Uzhgorod citizens the most.

Uzhgorod.in conducted its own survey among the residents of Uzhgorod. Our question focused on those articles of the Constitution of Ukraine, which citizens remember.

Natalka (seller):

‘The first I would name the article which says that Ukraine is an independent and democratic state. The second is ‘Freedom of expression is guaranteed to voters’ and the third, where it is said that the right for freedom of thought and speech is guaranteed to everyone’.

Volodymyr (IT worker):

‘The highest value is the human life, presumption of innocence (article 62), a person guilty of a crime until his guilt is not proved in court, the state must defend human life, it seems, it ensures article 27 of the Constitution.’

Tatiana (journalist):

‘As for me, the most important article which is being actively discussed is an article on the state language. Article 10 of the Constitution. It says that the state language of Ukraine is Ukrainian.’

Zoltan (entrepreneur):

‘I would like to live in the country where the state protects competition in entrepreneurial activity. The second is the free use and protection of the national minorities’ language ​​and the third, of course, the freedom of speech and thought.’

Valentyna (a pensioner, teacher of Ukrainian language):

‘Decent old age, and ensuring of social protection, the right for medical care and free of charge medicine, and fundamental for me article (10) – Ukrainian language – official language of Ukraine.’
