What, where, when on the weekend in Transcarpathia (August 29 – 30)

August 29 – requiem rally on the occasion of the first official celebration of the Day of remembrance of the defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The event will be held in compliance with quarantine restrictions. The beginning is at 9.55 (Alley of Glory, Central Cemetery, Mukachevo). 
August 29 – "Dercen Art-Party" (art plen air) organized by the project "Cultural Way Dertsen Village" and the Department of Culture of the Mukachevo City Council. Plein air paintings will then be presented in the Palace of Culture and Arts of Mukachevo. Registration is required – https://cutt.ly/Kfp5WUO (village of Dersen, Mukachevo district).  
August 29 – perfomance for children "Princess without a pea". The beginning is at 12.00, performance "Fashionable" (ticket price for the children’s show – 50 UAH, for the adult show – 100 UAH). The beginning is at 18.00 (drama theater, Mukachevo).  
August 30 – "FEDOR DESIGN INTERIOR STUDIO" organizes a master class on modern self-portrait. You will be taught by a teacher at the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts Oleksiy Fedor. Each participant will create their own self-portrait based on the submitted finished works. Technique – gouache on paper (duration – 2 hours, price – 250 UAH, mandatory registration by phone or viber 063-200-87-92). The beginning is at 13.00 (Novak st., 16 (2nd floor), Uzhgorod).  
August 30 – play for children "Little Goat". The beginning is at 12.00, performance "Stolen Happiness" (ticket price for the children’s show – 50 UAH, for the adult show – 100 UAH). The beginning is at 18.00 (drama theater, Mukachevo).  
August 31 – on the occasion of the Day of remembrance of defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, presentation of new books dedicated to Carpathian Ukraine. Moderators – Oleksandr Havrosh and Oleh Khavavchak. The beginning is at 16.00 (Transcarpathian Regional Scientific Universal Library named after F. Potushnyak, Svoboda Avenue, Uzhgorod).  
August 31 – exhibition "Czech Heroines" organized by the Czech Center in Kyiv, Open Office and Czech Language Courses in Uzhgorod from the "Czech Center". There will be portraits of prominent Czech and Moravian women seen through the eyes of the young wave of illustrators, students of the Faculty of Design and Arts of the West Bohemian University in Plzen under the guidance of teacher and mentor Renata Fučikova. The opening is at 17.00 (Maly Halahov park, near the Regional State Administration, Uzhgorod).  
August 31 – Transcarpathian Regional Theater of Drama and Comedy presents "Summer evening in the theater courtyard." There will be orchestral music, most interesting vocal numbers from the theater’s repertoire (due to quarantine measures the number of seats is limited, details by phone 0979921226). The beginning is at 19.00 (courtyard, Transcarpathian Theater of Drama and Comedy, Khust).

– II All-Ukrainian exhibition "Inspired by Dolls". 140 works by masters from Cherkasy, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Transcarpathian, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Sumy, Zaporizhzhya regions, as well as from the Kingdom of Norway. Every day, except Tuesday, 10.00 – 18.00 (Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life, Kapitulna st., 33 a, Uzhgorod).  
 – works by graduates of the Uzhgorod Children’s School of Arts (Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod, Pravoslavna Embankment, Uzhgorod).  
– exhibition of works by members of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists, dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine. 112 paintings and sculptures are presented. Every day, except Monday, Tuesday – Saturday – 11:00 – 20:00, Sunday – 12:00 – 19:00 (ticket price is 30 UAH (regular), 20 UAH (for "Circle of Friends" cardholders and schoolchildren, students and elderly people), free of charge for children under 12 (Ilko Gallery Art Center, Koshytska st., 28, Uzhgorod).  
– "Dryad" – an exhibition of paintings with flowers by Mukachevo artist Marina Chopey (Palace of Culture and Arts, Mukachevo).
