What Transcarpathians search online for March 8

It is believed that the holiday of March 8 has lost its relevance. However, according to the Yandex search statistics, Ukrainians are still very much interested in it. Every year, in early March, Ukrainian users ask Yandex about the International Women’s Day more than two million times. And about 25,000 searches come from residents of Transcarpathian region. 

According to the Yandex search, on March 8, the most frequent search requests from Transcarpathians are:

8. Scenarios

Every third request about the holiday contains words "greetings" or "congratulations." Greeting on March 8 for mother in Ukrainian are the most searched for. 

Like on any other holiday, many users search for gifts. Yandex data show that the majority of users intend to make a present on March 8 by themselves. Over 60% of requests on gifts include the phrase "handmade." 

The rest of the people, who are concerned about this matter, ask "what to give." Transcarpathians seem to be generous, because they rarely search for cheap and inexpensive options. The most common request in this category is "What to give mom on March 8?".  

Most requests are about gifts and greetings for mothers, followed by greetings for girlfriends, and then – for grandmothers.

Many users prefer visual greeting – cards or pictures. Mostly, they are interested in how to make or draw them themlesves.
